A Star Is Born (oc story)
A lonely god floated through the immeasurable darkness of the cosmos. His nature was enormous and powerful, and yet he found himself longing for love. The most powerful of all existences, the being that had no face, no body and no heart in the human sense, but was matter and energy and time and space; it was known as the Singing Being.
The god of cosmos had created a gigantic star. A blue supergiant, to be more specific. A masterpiece that put even galaxies in its shadow.
This star was supposed to be a symbol of his love, glowing, and big enough to outshine other galaxies. The god had hoped that this would finally impress the Singing Being, but the Being remained unreachable. It was not the first time that the god showed his love for the Singing Being. The rejection echoed through the darkness like a cold gust of wind, and pain turned into anger. The Singing Being that neither knew nor wanted to know the feelings of love, was seized by its own unbridled power. In its anger, it caused the star to pass away, and as the remnants of the star swirled through space, something unexpected happened. In swirling light and cosmic dust, energy condensed into something completely new. Both god and Being paused stunned.
A creature looked with sparkling eyes into the void, where just now cruel forces had prevailed. Neither the god nor the Singing Being had wanted or even expected this birth. In a silence louder than any thunder they both looked at the new life. In front of them was the result of unrequited love, anger and chance; a child that was not supposed to be here and yet there it was.
The child floated in darkness and emptiness, their consciousness awakening like a spark. Everything around them was unknown: no noise, no ground, just shimmering dust and light from the remnants of a destroyed star. Their eyes, just formed, slowly opened and looked into infinity for the first time. A wave of curiosity overcame them. No one expected that a new life could arise here. The birth of the little being was something unplanned in the cosmos, which shocked both the god and the Singing Being. The god of the cosmos observed in silence. His gaze was fixed. He was the creator of that gigantic star that was supposed to be a sign of his love. However, this love was repeatedly rejected, and his disappointment turned into silent suffering and horror at what had resulted from his work. Also shaken was the Singing Being whose anger had destroyed the star.
The god of the cosmos watched the child with immeasurable gentleness, as if he were witnessing a precious moment. His voice was warm and full of love as he spoke: „So small and yet so full of light…“
The child’s big eyes shone as brightly as the sun as they looked up at his creator. There was more to these words than just wonder. It was the tender voice of an observer. The god recognized in the child not only the misfortune of a moment, but the precious gift of a beginning.
The Singing Being couldn’t believe that something so fragile and yet alive had emerged from the destruction of a simple star. It felt a spark of fear as it wondered if the birth of the little creature could cause chaos to humanity.
The child was a picture of innocence and, at the same time, of deep mystery. Their consciousness slowly began to unfold. The god of the cosmos felt a delicate, unfamiliar connection to the little being who had unexpectedly been born from the ashes of the destroyed star. A spark flickered in his heart. He extended his hand to the little child. The situation was too surreal to believe. He had to see for himself whether the little being in front of him was real.
The Singing Being watched both, the god and the little being, and suddenly the anger inside it disappeared. The Singing Being was the reason for the new creation. The little being was curious, innocent, and did nothing wrong. Well, at least not yet.
The delicate connection between the god and the new life broke off abruptly when the little being was packed by their curiosity. They began to create chaos in an infinite space. Sparks and lights slipped away from order; matter was whirling around, and the child drifted through space as a living restlessness.
Panic overcame the god. He never had to deal with such an uncontrollable being who, through their curiosity, threatened the fragile balance of the cosmos. Like an inexperienced parent, he chased after the little being. It was as if he suddenly ran after a toddler who is doing mischief everywhere and cannot be tamed. His feelings shifted between care, fear, and despair. He wanted to protect the creature, to understand them, but his own powers were hardly sufficient to order the chaos the child was wreaking.
He put up zodiac signs that the child had rearranged, he brought moons back to their planets, and so much more he had to fix again. The Singing Being’s anger came back. It forgot about the ‘innocence’ of the small creature. It was far from happy about the situation. It watched the god and the little being with growing anger. For the Singing Being, the child was a disorder, a thing that went against its rules. The child, driven by childlike curiosity and an impetuous drive for discovery, left a trail of stardust and chaos.
The Singing Being had enough of the little creature. Even the god of cosmos could not tame them, that was sign enough to know that the child could become a danger.
With its powerful presence, the Singing Being condensed its power around the small creature and sealed it. The thick layer around the small creature was like a sealing shield. A band of force that abruptly restricted the child’s freedom. The god of the cosmos was relieved, but at the same time worried. To him, it felt like part of his creation had been put into a kind of eternal silence, cut off from the infinity of the universe. So the child now lay trapped in the gentle but relentless embrace of the creature.

The child raged in their captivity like an angry child who doesn’t understand why they are being held. They hit the invisible boundaries of their sealing shield, swirling light and energy. Sparks sparkled, streams of pure force tore at the seals.
The Singing Being was deeply shaken by the enormous force that lay in this little being. It didn’t expect that such an unpredictable child could unleash such force. The Singing Being realized that the child was more than a mere disturbing factor. At the same time, the god of the cosmos felt shocked. The battle between child and seal was wild and chaotic. The god approached the angry child slowly and carefully. He could only watch his creation strike and kick the seal in anger and confusion. This sight triggered pain and anger in the god. „Let them go! Don’t punish them for their curiosity.“ You could hear the sheer despair in his voice as he spoke. The god looked into the infinite void, eyes flickering from one point to another. After all, he could not look at the Singing Being, since it had no appearance. The presence of the Singing Being became more noticeable, and it was clear that it had no intention of releasing the little child. The god said again: „It is your fault, too, that they were born. You can’t lock away your own creation!“ The god knew that it was also his own fault, but it had now happened, and he wouldn’t punish the little child for his mistake. Suddenly, the little child cried out loud and held his head in pain. The god immediately panicked and wanted to calm down the little child, but as he approached the seal, he was thrown away by the enormous force. He had to watch the innocent child’s powers being suppressed by the seal. He got chains around his head; his long wild hair got shorter and shorter, and he himself seemed to get smaller and weaker with each breath. And then suddenly he became a star again. Not a huge one this time. A small star sent towards Earth by the Singing Being.
The Singing Being had suppressed the child’s powers and ensured that they could no longer create chaos. The god was shocked at the sight of his creation, his symbol of love, simply being separated from him. He wanted to follow the little child but was stopped. An invisible wall, made by the Singing Being, prevented the god from accessing the Earth. He wasn’t allowed to go to Earth. Not to the people, not to those who worship him, not to the little creature he had just met, but already felt a strong connection to.
